Italian term or phrase: per competenza

This expression comes near the end of an emergency department evaluation report. The report has different sections: causale, diagnosi, prestazioni eseguite in pronto soccorso ... osservazioni ... and next comes a section with the following headings, all on the same line:

Al Medico Curante: ... Pre Proseguimento Cure ... *Per Competenza*

I think it has to do with followup treatment after the emergency visit, but how can I translate 'per competenza' here?

IMO, this is the person in charge, the "authorized" person to sign, to certify for.
