Medical - Medical (general) / Surgeon's Operation Notes: exploratory laparotomy

Italian term or phrase: Bilsaterali

This is from a description of findings during emergency surgery for an acute abdomen in a patient with liver mets from a thyroid primary. There is a purulent peritonitis and "Voluminose metastasi epatiche multiple e bilsaterali."
I cannot find "bilsaterale" or "bilsaterali" anywhere (Googling doesn't yield any hits) and wonder if it is a typo for "bilaterali" or does it have anything to do with being bile-stained? Thanks in advance for any help in clarifying this.

I needed the opinions of others to clear the air over my lingering doubt regarding the "bil-" just possibly having somenthing to do with bile.
