Italian to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical (general) / laser surgery for refraction defects of the cornea | | Italian term or phrase: bumper (introduttivo) | | This use of the word "bumper" comes at the beginning of publicity material for a laser procedure for correction of refractive errors of the cornea. It may be part of a Power Point presentation or part of the text of a voice over for a advert. It occurs again at the end of the translation as "Logo: bumper di chiusura". Obviously, it is a common English word in its own right but I am wondering how the Italians are using it in this ophthalmic promotional context. Many thanks to anyone who can "shed some light" onto my retina here. |

Asker: I used "introductory visual" and, at the end, "closing slot".
