Italian to English translations [PRO] Marketing - Mining & Minerals / Gems / double meaning | | Italian term or phrase: gioia | I'm finding this tricky - I don't really know how to go about translating a double meaning!
This is the problem:
L’eccellenza del prodotto emerge dalla nuova campagna multisoggetto di *** giocata sul duplice significato del termine “gioia”
I'd really appreciate some ideas on how to render the double meaning, joy and jewel.
Thanks!

I think *gem* could work fine but I'm not sure whether the play on words should actually be translated or just explained. IMO it depends on what the purpose of yr text is and whether the ad campaign itself will be translated. - lizzy g: 8:09pm Jan 14, 2006: Thanks Linda for your comments. I have decided to go for 'gem' but have qualified it each time.
