Italian term or phrase: dna (misprint)?
Can anyone help me with this (possibly a misprint) in the following?

Non mancheranno proposte ricercamente casual, in argento o acciaio, e alta gioielleria di ispirata alle forme della natura, interpretate con quel senso della moda che è nel **dna** degli italiani.

I haven't a clue what Italian word this might be, or how it might be translated in English. Something like "character"?

So it wasn't a misprint after all. Without your help I could have searched for this (and the notes - "encoded in the genes") for ages. Thanks a lot!
