DISTURBINGLY BEAUTIFUL is another expression that you could use, although personally I\'d stick with \"terrifyingly\" as it\'s closer to the Italian.

awfully beautiful / frightfully beautiful

Explanation:
It's an idiom. Basically:
adj. + da far paura = frightfully/awfully/etc. + adj.

Good luck, amica!

scarily/frighteningly/breathtakingly beautiful

Explanation:
I don't find the adverbs "awfully" or "frightfully" particularly scary.
One of the first websites in the search talks about Michelle Pfeiffer, whose beauty I find breathtaking- I'd go for "frighteningly" myself

When I say I don\'t find the adverbs \"awfully\" or \"frightfully\" particularly scary, they seem to be more emphatic than scary, as if they were synonyms of \"very\".

agree JudyK: although Esther has a point that stunningly is an accepted collocation, I would go with frighteningly here in this poetic context

stunningly beautiful

Explanation:
In English, that's the only phrase that is used. No "frighteningly beautiful" etc.

Another possibily, however, is "she has killing looks" -- which ought to be scary....

drop dead gorgeous

Explanation:
This idiom might be a little too "UK" for some tastes; otherwise I'd go for Sarah's terrifyingly beautiful, if you're looking for something poetic.
