Italian term or phrase: cavalleresco e cavalleristico
I cannot decide on a proper translation of the terms... The context is a book on cavalry:

"...vorrei intrattenermi sugli aggettivi qualificativi “cavalleresco” e “cavalleristico”.

"cavalleresco" e' "chivalrous" o "chivalric", senza dubbio -
tinawizzy: 15:45 Oct 6, 2005: Anche a me non sembra tanto chiaro cosa voglia dire.

agree marionclarion: certainly agree with chivalrously, knightly, nobly, gentlemanly for cavalleresco - it's the cavalleristico that's more problematic - I wonder if horsemanship would do??

chivalric or knightly (upholding lofty and noble ideals)

Explanation:
another way to say chivalrous is "chivalric"
A knight I can think of embodying these ideals is Lancelot in the King Arthur Legend

Chivalrous/chivalric apart from meaning Marked by high ideals of honor, generosity, courtesy, etc., also can mean valiant, courageous as Roland in the epic poem "La Chanson de Roland"
