"Tradizionalmente l'attenzione dei ricercatori di marketing si รจ concentrata sui giudizi positivi nei confronti della marca **in ragione degli** interessi di imprese ed istituzioni sugli acquisti..."
I should know this - but those 3 little words are driving me crazy!
transparx: 19:05 Oct 14, 2005: strictly speaking, "in ragione di" doesn't mean "due to/because of". in addition, i fail to see a relayionship of cause & effect btwn "interessi..." and "l'attenzione...". it would probably be helpful to see what follows "acquisti"... - transparx: 02:26 Oct 15, 2005: sorry Kri & answerers! i take it back! evidently it's not part of my idiolect. i always took "in ragione di" to mean "according to" or "at the rate of", but i see it's used a lot with the meaning of "on (the) grounds of", so "due to/because of..." are OK -
