Le ante sono costruite come da Brevetto XXX per adattarsi immediatamente ad un primo sbiegamento senza subire danneggiamenti usare sempre leve di contrasto in legno morbido.

Can anyone clarify what a "leva di contrasto" might be in this context? (it is possible that the wrong term has been used in the original Italian so if you know the correct Italian term that would be great).

I believe it talks about levers in soft wood (in order not to damage the shutter) to lift or force the shutter in place.
It should probably be "usando sempre. Or ". Usare". And spiegamento instead of sbiegamento.

Asker: Don't worry - I'm not going to bite your head off Flemming!! Any help is much appreciated! I've translated as "softwood lever" but can't find any English confirmations online. (I'm thinking there may be a specific term for the "lever" used in connection with shutters 0 but can't seem to find anything!!)
