Clarification request(s) and response
Oliver Walter: 19:20 Dec 3, 2006: Re: "many years' experience". I would happily put this in my CV. The alternative I might consider is to state the number of years. For me, "many" means at least 10, "several" would be 5 to 12, "a few" would be 3 to 8 (approximately).

"Consolidated experience" doesn't include the element of time. In a C.V., too, the word "consolidated" might have negative connotations of solidity and unadventurousness.

Notes to answerer
Asker: would consolidated experience sound funny or wrong to you? TIA

Asker: it is correct and natural indeed, but does it suit CVs? please let me know momo

Asker: thanks for the explanation of "consolidate"

Asker: so "multi-year" would be better, wouldn't it? It gives the idea of plurality but does not specify the quantity (I can't ring the client and ask him). What do you suggest? Thanks for your patience
