Italian to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Other | | Italian term or phrase: approccio di filiera | we are speaking of projects that involve either companies that belong to the same sector or "in un approccio di filiera"
I need a word that could indicate filiera in the broadest sense: including production companies and companies that use a specific technology. Any suggestions???

| | (vertically) integrated approach | Explanation: Companies in the same sector would presumably be "horizontally integrated" while a "filiera" can be described as "vertical integration" if you don't want to use "chain of production", which can often work.
See for example:
The FAO Strategic Framework stresses the importance of effective intensification of production systems and the transformation of production especially at the level of small-scale producers, with a need to promote holistic systems approaches, and to recognize the economic and social dimensions related to transfer and adoption of appropriate technology (labour, land tenure, access to resources, inputs and services and knowledge systems of the range of farmers and actors). Integration needs to be horizontal, seeking improved management across components of the farming systems (including resources, crops, livestock, forestry and fishery) and vertical, seeking improved management of commodities through the production, processing, distribution and marketing stages.
