Italian term or phrase: Sezione di Polizia Giudiziaria
Does anyone know the exact correspondent in UK?
In Italy the "Sezione di P.G., Polizia Giudiziaria" is a unit composed of policemen (of all ranks) who respond both to the Questore (who is the Police Chief in a province) and to the Procuratore (who is the Chief in Procura). They don't use their uniforms.

Asker: Ho riguardato le mie precedenti domande. Non è la stessa cosa "polizia giudiziaria" e "Sezione di Polizia Giudiziaria". forse questo non è noto a tutti, ma spero di trovare in proz qualcuno che sia informato sulle varie specialità e divisioni di polizia del Regno Unito.
