Belgian Blue Explanation: ... is a recognized breed (my grandfather raised them). "Pezzato" means "dappled," and so "pezzato nero" would be "dappled black", and "bruno," of course, would be "brown" (or possible "dappled brown," depending on the context). Belgian Blue, Friesian and Bruna Explanation: I work with an Irish farmer who exports cattle to Spain and Italy. I know these terms from the Italian customers. As far as I know there is no English equivalent of Bruna. It is a breed from the Piemonte region of Italy. Sean |
