Il testo fa riferimento a quegli strani aggeggi, a volte con casse esterne e a volte no, con manovella oppure senza, utilizzati da mendicanti o suonatori ambulanti. "Macinino" quindi è un termine figurato. Come lo tradurreste?

My apologies. The terms I offered refer to the man who operates the "macinino".
I could not find the combined terms "organ grind" in any dictionary and it makes no sense to me. With that in mind I would opt for "street organ" as offered by Marco
