Una ditta specializzata in "corsetteria, corsetteria pesante..." Ho paura che il termine "corsetry" sia limitato ai corsetti di tipo vittoriano, mentre la ditta in questione produce reggiseni e simili. Grazie!

Ho controllato diversi siti e non ho rintracciato corsetry. Anche per esperienza personale, avendo acquistato un articolo simile nei giorni scorsi ti posso dire che non si chiama corset; in questo settore si usano molto, anche in inglese, termini francesi.
In ogni caso ho trovato una parola che non avevo mai visto e che e' "shapewear" che potresti utilizzare.
Ho trovato 10 pagine Altavista con questo termine. Controlla ad esempio questo sito

dove viene usato il termine "shaping garments"
Girdle e' piu' antiquato come termine.

Grazie a tutti per l'aiuto. Non si possono dare punti a più persone? Mannaggia... La ditta in questione tratta proprio in taglie pesanti, e quindi shapewear e girdles sono proprio adattissimi. Grazie di nuovo!

Explanation:
You have to decide if you want to sell your stuff to Americans or to Brits or to all of them.
I did a web search as I wanted to buy this type of product from the internet and there are multiple terms used.
The latest is the word that Paola mentions - shapewear.
However, shapewear tends to be "heavy duty" - i.e. for plumper ladies who want to "trim" their silhouette (il calibrato per intenderci).
My recommendation is to go for the good old LINGERIE as its "chic" and it covers everything from knickers to nighties...and it's used in the States and in the UK and probably in Canada, Australia etc etc
