but the reason why I suggested just "berries" is that these days the so called "frutti di bosco" are also grown in hothouses and are not wild at all! I was using more generic term to avoid possible mistakes...

Explanation:
frutti di bosco sta per fragole, mirtilli, lamponi e tutti i frutti che in origine si raccoglievano nel bosco. Qui in Canada se vado a comprare `wild bluberries`wuol dire che quelle berries sono state colte nel bosco. Mentre se compro blue/straw/raspBERRIES senza wild so benissimo che quei frutti di bosco vengono dalla serra.
Chiamarli wild blueberries se li ho comprati al mercato sarebbe e vengono dalla California, sarebbe un falso commerciale.
E vi scrivo da un luogo dove i wild raspberries sono le erbacce che mi tocca tenere a bada se no invadono il prato.
