How would you, therefore, translate "elementi d'arredo" with a general meaning?
I agree with you about "bathroom accessories"
Many thanks once again sonia parpi: 13:41 Apr 28, 2004: Maybe you can say "furniture items" or "furniture elements" (I personally prefer the first one"). -

| | v.s. | Explanation: They can be the same thing, but in mmy opinion there is a slight difference.
"Complementi d'arredo" (in this case can be "bathroom accessories") are those things like shelves, drawers, etc., i.e. parts which complete the furniture.
"Elementi d'arredo" can also be things like vases, candles, etc., i.e. things which give something more to the atmosphere of the room.
This is what I know from my own experience ( I have done several translations about furniture). Hope it can help! |
