mechanical caliper brake

Explanation:
Compact, single post, spring-actuated Air Champ® VC500 works with discs of various sizes and does not reduce brake torque over life of friction facings due to rear amplifier linkage design. Product ships completely assembled and ready to install. It operates at 60 psi and is suited for automotive conveyor systems, converting machines, conveyors and conveying equipment, heavy-duty machinery, and printing presses with e-stop applications.

neutral Daniel Buvens: this is what I said... (sorry, I didn't mean to disagree, changed to neutral). By the way, a caliper always works on a disc, so a brake with calipers is bound to be a disc brake.
