I have this term in a list of mounting instructions - it's a piece of card to envelope the main structure. I just wondered if someone had translated or come across this specific term before. All my dictionaries suggest paper-transformation as the correct definition. Perhaps it is just simple cardboard? I have limited context:
Prendi il fascione cartotecnico inferiore (B) ...

"Cartotecnico" include anche altri materiali, non solo carta e cartone. Spesso i "display" sono fabbricati in plastica "alveolare", ma non entriamo in dettagli superflui.
