Ho consultato un dizionario online http://iate.europa.eu/iatediff e questo è il risultato che ho ottenuto inserendo Carta a mano (o meglio, uno dei risultati) calcolando che il tuo cliente ha detto che viene anche chiamata Carta da registro questa mi sembra la risposta più plausibile...
