In Metereologica IV 12 è bene evidente questo processo di compensazione che procede
gerarchicamente: partendo dalle parti non omeomere, fino ad arrivare a quelle più semplici (osso,
carne, grasso, midollo, bile, seme, latte, tendini, vasi sanguigni) il fine lascia emergere più
chiaramente la necessità. Al contrario, esso emerge in tutta chiarezza nelle parti non omeomere e
soprattutto nella funzione che ogni singola parte svolge all’interno del tutto. Per le teoria delle parti
omeomere e non omeomere vedi PA, 646a 22-; 647b 10-17
