Italian term or phrase: criteri d'edizione
this is the title of an introductory section in a critical text edition. It explains the way the text edition was arrived at--methods used, special problems encountered. I have thought of several translation--editorial method, criteria for the edition, editorial principles--but was wondering if there is an official title used in English in the field. Thank you
