Sees herself through the fate/destiny/prospects of a lady who is in a coma...

Explanation:
To see oneself through something is usually in reference to having found an identifier to your life or a part of your character or whatever.

"To see through..."

The "mirror" idea is still retained in this translation: we use the term "to see oneself in the mirror" a lot in English. I.E. "Seeing oneself" contains the "mirror" idea in English. We don't have the "specchiarsi" verb (or at least we don' have one that is as prevalent in our language as the Italian verb seems to be). Idea of mirror is implicit in term “seeing oneself”.

If you do want to keep mirror idea, depending on context you could say something like:

"Sees her own destiny through the fate of the lady in a coma..."

ABOVE TYPO:

Sorry last note should have read:

"Sees her own destiny MIRRORED through the fate of the lady...."

Like the song from Avatar, "I See You":

"Evermore
(I see me through your eyes)
I see me through your eyes
(Living through life flying high)
Flying high"
