Italian to English translations [PRO]
Poetry & Literature
Italian term or phrase: non tira a pelare...non apre macello
from the same poem by Giuseppe Giusti
Anthony Tamburro
English translation:"does not try to skin...
Explanation:
"Does not to try to skin you,
lets you sing,
does not open the abattoir"

I am sure about the 2nd and 3rd lines, but not about the first one, which is just a guess. I think is trying to say that a log king will let its subjects -the frogs- do whatever they want, with no punishment
