In epoca medievale, però, i molteplici elementi del vestiario liturgico, si caricano di simbolismi gratuiti e allegorie e man mano che l’attenzione passa dal Mistero celebrato alla materialità della celebrazione, ogni componente riceve un suo significato non più in funzione del tutto, ma per se stesso, iniziando così un processo di sacralizzazione che durerà fino alla riforma liturgica del Vaticano II.


Ho notato che sacralization si usa per lo più in ambito medico, quindi mi chiedo se ci sia di altro

Unfortunately the literal translation of this term is widely known in the field of medicine for describing the spinal are.

"Sanctification" is a term relating at times to people but it is also commonly used to describe making something such as buildings, holy.
