Asker: yes but not necessarily and not in this case. An infame is someone like a child killer or rapist. they actually put them in the Braccio degli infami in a special wing in jail, so I need a noun with that specific meaning. Thanks to you et al. for now! It's for a script but keeping it colloquial in UK English, for Irish eyes to read!
