Floor type milling machine with travelling column Explanation: 1 CNC floor type milling machine model MECOF CS 105/G, stroke 6300x2100x1000 mm Hello I have also called these "travelling column milling machines". I think a "floor type" milling machine is equipped by default, as it were, with a travelling column, so that last specification is unecessary. I've used the definition in the past with impunity (on the recommendation of a company that actually makes 'em), but, if truth were to be told, I am still somewhat unconvinced of what they would be r e a l l y called in, say, Birmingham UK. Regards Derek |

Milling machine with mobile column, path 6300x2100x1000 Explanation: Although I live within 100 miles of Birmingham, UK, I'm no expert on milling machines and am just hanging on Derek's coat-tails. However, a milling machine with any part of it having the dimensions quoted is inevitably going to be "floor type" or rather "floor mounted". Is it likely that the milling STROKE would be 6mx2mx1m? Or is it that the area over which the column and thus the cutting edge will move? I use Hoepli's Dizionario Tecnico |
