A "zerbino" is usually a doormat, but given your context, I wondered whether it could be something that tilers use to walk over newly laid floors (weight distribution, no marring). In the latter case, I'm still shooting from the hip, but at least you could use the suggestion as a starting point. As for your earlier question "ripresa di getto", I would gladly help out; we've got quite a few ceramics experts here in the Sassuolo area, but without more context, I'm currently as flummoxed as you presumably are.
