Assembly instructions for a sofa:
"Avvitare con un cacciavite prima il grano C1, poi il C2 in modo che si blocchino nella scalanatura dei perni."
There are diagrams that show the "grano" as a small threaded cylinder with a slit in the head to insert the tip of a screwdriver for tightening/loosening. It's already been translated as "grain" - but it sounds like a literal translation to me. I thought of "threaded pin", which is certainly more descriptive, but "pin" is used in the same text to translate "perno"
