reversible or "push-pull" (fixed consist ) trainset Explanation: by the way the "remorchiata pilota" is a "driving trailer" to save you asking. I get double points for that ! (feeble joke). This type of trainset can be hauled by the locomotive or pushed by it when the train is worked in the reverse direction. That way it doesn't have to be turned round in a dead-end station before it can go on its return jounrey. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2003-07-08 15:04:14 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- You know - a lot of this stuff is probably on Eurodicautom since the whole of the so-called railway dictionary was put on that site.....
