plugs for terminating the power-supply cables Explanation: At the most basic level, a power-supply cable requires a connector of some type at each end, otherwise it is simply a length of conductive wire encased inside a protective sheath. In a slightly different form of the above suggestion, you could write "plugs [intended to] terminate the power cables"..." Without seeing the rest of your sentence, it's hard to say which form of the phrase would work best.
