I hope you're not all on vacation yet, and when you go that you have a great one. Please help me out before departing, if you can. I can't find these two terms in any dictionary, nor can I quite figure out the meaning of provette in this context. Thanks

English translation:lapped surface, test-bars
Explanation:
Trafilatura is not extrusion, but drawing.

With "emerigliata" I think you mean smerigliata, that is a lapped surface.

"Provette" are test-bars, whereas "assali" are axles.

Hope it helps.

thankyou Saxo, It is so irritating when the words we're asked to translate are spelled wrong. I saw bar (test) in the dictionary but did not quite trust it, now I do as test bar. Since the client's document said trafillature (estrusione)... and estrusione does not mean drawing, in doubt I'll just eliminate the word and use the second option they had. extrusion. Perhaps, they meant drawing out... Have a nice August
