Italian to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Telecom(munications) | | Italian term or phrase: connessione WAN Terna | This is from a list of equipment for a supply contract. An electrical power producer is buying some peripheral units for the defense and monitoring system; une item being supplied is "Apparato Router per conness. WAN Terna".
It is the "Terna" that has got me puzzled. Any suggetions? Thank you. |

The brand name of this WAN router should therefore be kept as it is.
As per my Reference entry:

Now that I think about it, Terna does *not* produce these routers, but rather supplies the WAN and infrastructure on which they are used, therefore it would be incorrect to say that Terna is the brand name of the routers (I think the actual brand is Cisco). The original Italian sentence should read: ""Apparato Router per connessione WAN su rete Terna".
