Italian term or phrase: Movida spagnola

Context: a description of a boutique recently refurbished by a Spanish architect.

L’ eccentrica protagonista della Movida spagnola ha voluto uno spazio colorato, molto fluo, onirico, dove domina il bianco ghiaccio di pavimenti pareti e arredi riempito dai verdi, arancione, fucsia blu di vetri sfondi luci che si intrecciano ai verdi, arancione, blu, rossi delle gamme di prodotti.

I realise that 'Movida' can be loosely translated as a 'shift of mood' and is attributed to the loosening up of the the repressive Franco years... but how does it fit in to this sentence? I was wondering if it can be used to describe someone who comes from Madrid e.g. Londoner, Dubliner...

Any thoughts?

La Movida

Explanation:
It's actually an art movement and from your text it seems the person was a major player in that movement.
I don't think you can presume that person to be a Madrileno. You can be a Movida participant even if you're from Sitges or whatever.
I think I'd just say this "leading light of La Movida"
