If it were something on surveying of geology, you need to be precise, but for tourist advertising seduction is the priority. Set in the granite on the hillside. According to Italians my country's (England) highest mountain isn't a mountain at all. It is disqualified in Italy as too low for a mountain. Everything with pinch of salt, and a photo of the place if possible.

Thanks, Jim, but I believe it is deceptively "simple"! If there were not the massiccio, it would have sounded like "on the hillside" to me as well, but how can something be on the hillside of a mountain? I believe it is a standard phrase, but even my native speaking husband can't make much sense of it! So far, I have used halfway up the mountain, but am still hoping there is something that might be more precise! Thanks so much for the answer so far.
