were joined by / attracted Explanation: Sono d'accordo con Sofiablu sul significato di questa espressione, ma forse in questo caso specifico userei: "The 300 exhibitors were joined by/attracted 2800 blah blah". Credo che il senso sia che il successo di publico abbia fatto da cornice ai prodotti esposti ma anche "incoronato" gli espositori riconoscendo loro ilk merito di presentare prodotti interessanti. (questa almeno la mia interpretazione) |
