Explanation:
Hiya Franco!
"Buse" are river delta channels, leading to the sea. The changing sand deposits create deeper and shallower areas, and, over time, sometimes change the direction of the flow of water toward the Adriatic. This said, you might want to include the word "buse" as it occurs in the names of many of the Po delta's channels.

forse a causa della differente consistenza del suolo quando piove si creano bucchi proprio nei depositi di sabbia....Ma il dialetto di Rovigo nonlo so (se la parola dusa investe anche altri significati...)

Explanation:
Come suggerisce Constantinos, nel dialetto Veneto, le "buse" sone le "buche". In this case, however, the term "pothole" is not quite what you're looking for since it applies to the surface of a road, mostly. Siccome la spiegazione segue nel testo in ogni caso, penso che sia meglio lasciare il termine invariato.
