English translation:old part of the city/town
Explanation:
I wouldn't really say "historic centre" when talking about an English town for example, I think it's more natural to say "the old part of the town/city" or just "the old city". Or you could refer to the period it comes from e.g. the fifteenth century, Renaissance etc.
