(rimontaggio) repassing Explanation: According to my Garzanti it's a misprint for rimontaggio (although hundreds of websites I found in Google have rimontagli). Definition: rimontàggio n.m. 1 reassembly 2 (enologia) repassing of must over the grape dregs. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2006-04-26 12:38:10 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I wouldn't normally respond to a question from homework/test, but I decided that a misprint is really rather unfair to the translator doing the test. |

rimontaggi pumpovers Explanation: Ryan is right about the misprint but his Garzanti is wrong about the translation : -) "Rimontaggio" is "pumping over" (according to the multilingual "Lexique de la Vigne e du Vin") or "pumpover". However, it's probably better to turn phrase round and translate "per effettuare eventuali rimontaggi" along the lines of "to pump the wine over the cap if necessary/desired".
