Se abbiamo deciso di *** giocarci il pane in comunicazione, *** non facciamolo in modo incidentale, ma rendiamolo co-protagonista della storia.
Diamogli lo stesso valore alimentare e bonificante che ha la fetta di pane per XXX.
Sotolinearlo ha tanto più valore in quanto è la prima volta che in comunicazione attribuiamo a YYY la funzione alimentare di merenda.

("il pane" è da considerare come "l'alimento".)

Mi crea un problema il verbo... come girare bene l'espressione qui ?

ou bien, moins proche de l'italien mais plus percutant à mon avis:
si nous avons décidé que notre communication doit jouer son va-tout sur le "pain"...
