Il primo progetto delle fortificazioni verso la terraferma, il cosiddetto “Fronte di terra”, fu di Giovanni Camerini, insieme all’impianto urbanistico della città (1549). A sud un mezzo baluardo difendeva la Porta a Terra, mentre la cortina muraria verso il Falcone era protetta da due baluardi; all’esterno furono realizzati terrapieni (detti “contrafossi” o “antifossi”) in più riprese (fig. 1). Morto Camerini nel 1570 gli subentra Bernardo Buontalenti che *progetta il raddoppio del fronte di terra,* seguendo le indicazioni del duca Francesco di inglobare le difese già presenti (fig. 2). Il disegno prevede una linea di difesa i cui lati maggiori risultano perpendicolari. L’idea è straordinaria e di tale efficacia difensiva che si persegue la sua compiuta realizzazione fino al Settecento.
Conçoit le doublement? renforcement? du front terrestre?
Le terme "Fronte di Terra" apparaît en tant que nom propre d'abord, donc en tant que nom à ne pas traduire, à mon avis, puis ce même terme apparaît en tant que mot commun, et que j'ai traduit par "front terrestre" : est-ce OK comme stratégie?
Enfin, que comprenez-vous par "raddoppio" ici?
