correnti dans ce contexte ne se traduit pas par courants mais par "lisses": il s'agit des barres transversales d'un garde-corps.
paraginocchi est la même chose mais à la hauteur des genoux, comme le précise ce dessin:

Pour faire ainsi la distinction entre la lisse supérieure et celle qui se trouve au milieu on peut utiliser main courante et sous-lisse
