La torre si erge al centro di un recinto rettangolare, delimitato da mura in pietrame a bozze irregolari nelle quali si aprono arcere e archibugere, con torrioni angolari di forma circolare.

Explanation:
le terme "meurtrière" est le plus connu pour "les communs des mortels", mais vu que le texte original distingue l'arcièra de l'archibugièra, je le traduirais par "archières et arquebusières"
