L’osservazione delle prove sperimentali ha evidenziato, per la carena in oggetto, una pronunciata formazione ondosa nella regione di prua. A tal fine, è stato ritenuto utile inserire *** un bulbo prodiero *** per la riduzione dell’ampiezza e della pendenza dell’onda di prua.
In una prima fase, è stato disegnato *** un bulbo prodiero *** da innestare sulla geometria originale. A causa dei vincoli costruttivi imposti, l’estensione della regione da modificare doveva risultare compresa entro i 6 metri a partire dalla perpendicolare avanti.

Ho trovato in Diz. IT-FR :
prodiero (marit.)= d'avant
bulbo = bulb (dal termine inglese)
però non trovo Rif. sul Web con la trad. :
bulb d'avant
