jamais trouvé ce mot dans ce contexte mais à mon avis ça équivaut ici à ce qu'on appelle généralement "travetto" que je traduirais par points serrés/points de bourdon/couture d'arrêt ou quelque chose dans ce genre

fixer le pli... à l'aide de "quelques points serrés" au niveau de la nuque et de l'ourlet
