Un altro punto che sfugge alla critica è l’assenza di finestre nell’abside (Fig. 28). L’abside è articolata con i pastoforii in modo tale che diventa impossibile aprirvi finestre (Fig. 1). Ma è scelta deliberata, non frutto di trascuratezza o di fretta, tanto che nel retro si crea un prospetto, peraltro non perfettamente in asse, con SPECCHIATURE LUNETTATE, si apre addirittura almeno una finestrina per dar luce alle scale, e nel muro est dei due pastoforii si trova una porta di comunicazione col retro.


Ein weiterer Punkt, der nicht hinterfragt wird, ist das Fehlen von Fenstern in der Apsis (Abb. 28). Die Apsis ist mit den beiden Pastophorien so gegliedert, dass es unmöglich ist, Fenster zu errichten (Abb. 1). Doch hierbei handelt es sich um eine bewusste Entscheidung, die weder von Nachlässigkeit noch Eile herrührt, da im rückwärtigen Bereich ein, übrigens nicht ganz in der Achse liegender, Grundriss mit SPECCHIATURE LUNETTATE mit MONDFÖRMIGEN SPIEGELUNGEN?? oder SPIEGELUNGEN MIT LÜNETTEN??? geschaffen wurde. Es wurde sogar mindestens ein kleines Fenster errichtet, um Licht auf die Treppe zu werfen, zudem befindet sich in der Ostmauer der beiden Postophorien eine Verbindungstür nach hinten.
