Der zeitweilige Impulsspitzenstrom (Transient Peak Forward Current) ist der Strom, den das Bauelement für kurze Zeit (einige μs) aushält. Der Betriebsstrom muß - auch bei Impuls-Ansteuerung - deutlich unterhalb des Impulsspitzenstroms bleiben.
