Gli impianti di trattamento delle acque di prima pioggia vengono utilizzati per il trattamento delle acque di dilavamento di superfici pavimentate.
Le cosiddette acque di prima pioggia vengono quantificate considerando un’altezza di pioggia di 5 [mm] sulla superficie considerata. Il volume così ottenuto viene convogliato alla fase di depurazione, costituita da una o più vasche di accumulo e sedimentazione e da un trattamento specifico per la rimozione degli oli e degli idrocarburi. Le acque in eccesso (di seconda pioggia) vengono invece convogliate direttamente all’uscita dell’impianto tramite una tubazione di by-pass.
Questi impianti possono essere corredati da post-trattamenti che consentono di migliorare l’efficienza depurativa complessiva, in funzione del tipo di scarico e delle particolari caratteristiche del recapito finale.
