Explanation:
Si tratta di una specie di fattoria (spesso di monaci come in questo casa e spesso fortificata - c'è per esempio la Grancia di Cuna in provincia di Siena), vedi anche il link. Io lascerei come nome proprio e forse metterei una spiegazione.

Nur zur weiteren Erläuterung, m. E. handelt es sich bei einer Grancia nicht unbedingt um ein Klostergut, die Grancia di Cuna zum Beispiel befand sich im Mittelalter im Besitz des OSPEDALE SANTA MARIA DELLA SCALA , die Grancia diente in erster Linie als Kornspeicher. Ich denke es gibt keine eindeutige Übersetzung auf Deutsch, auf jeden Fall handelt es sich bei einer Grancia nicht einfach um eine Scheine und sie muss auch nicht an ein Kloster angeschlossen sein.

Für Brigitte: Grangie ist aber der Plural von Grangia/Grancia (sind zwei regional unterschiedliche Formen desselben Wortes)
