In romanischen Sprachen unterscheidet man im Mittelalter "Langue d'oïl" (Nordfrankreich), "Langue d'Oc" (Sudfrankreich) "Langue de Si" (Italien) Es handelt sich um die Weise, auf man in diesen Gegenden "ja" sagte.
